There’s something about fireworks that makes me want to cuddle. I don’t know what it is. There’s just something about the combination of a lit up night sky, my sweetie in my arms, and loud booms that make me feel like a kid who just found his favorite baseball card. If you don’t know what it’s like to find your favorite baseball card, just imagine a very happy kid smiling ear to ear. Read more
Bartering is a method of exchanging goods and services for other goods and services, usually without the exchange of money or currency. Examples include trading a churn of butter for a loaf of bread, a pair of clogs for a winter coat, roof repair services for washing the dishes. (Let’s just say that dishes and I don’t get along.)

I can still remember the first Weird Al Yankovic CD I purchased. It was his Off The Deep End album and I instantly fell in love. I would play the album over and over again to memorize the words to Smells Like Nirvana, You Don’t Love Me Anymore, and The White Stuff. In fact, Taco Grande is the sole reason I have a somewhat decent Spanish accent.
So what can this creative, parody-producing, polka-playing, curly-haired musician teach us about romance? Actually, it’s quite a bit. Read more
